Henk Jans is an artist from the Netherlands, born in march 1958. He studied at the art academy "Constantijn Huygens" in Kampen (The Netherlands), autonomous painting.
At the age of twenty, Henk Jans started his career as a policeman in in some provincial villages.
The contact with the public fell short of his expectations and he decided it wasn't what he was looking for. Henk Jans started full of enthusiasm, but during the seven years he worked as a policeman, his energy and motivation dissapeared. He resigned and decided to visit the Art Academy, to become a free artist.

After years of mental decline, he is feeling better now and happy having found a theme to work with:
